$16K Donated From Cantigny 5K Race To Benefit Homeless Veterans
Since 2008, the Cantigny Park 5K has raised more than $150,000 to benefit the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

WHEATON, IL — The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans recently received a check for $16,000, which was raised during Cantigny Park's 5K Run/Walk.
This makes for a total of $156,000 that the race has raised for the shelter since 2008.
In addition to entry fees, the check's amount also included $2,196 in personal donations from race participants. Roughly 750 people ran or walked in the race, which was held on Nov. 5.

In 2022, the Cantigny 5K Run/Walk marked its 18th year. The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans opened in 2007 on Carlton Avenue in Wheaton and provides homes and other resources to aid veterans throughout the area.
