WHEATON, IL — As of Monday, crews in Wheaton were still working to clean up debris and branches from the severe thunderstorms that hit over the Fourth of July weekend.
Cleanup crews are prioritizing removing debris that blocked roadways. They are also working to remove branches and brush from city-owned parkways.
Residents who need assistance with trees on city-owned parkways can complete a service request form online.
Damage related to privately owned trees must be handled by the resident or a landscaper. That brush can be collected via the city's curbside yard waste service.
