WHEATON, IL — Crews are working to clear fallen trees and address flooded streets in Wheaton following severe storms Monday afternoon.
As of 1 p.m., an alert from the City of Wheaton said the first priority is clearing streets and handling "major hazards and roadway obstructions."
Residents are urged to treat intersections with flashing lights as four-way stops and to avoid trying to drive through standing water.
Flooded streets and downed and limbs that do not pose an emergency can be reported via Wheaton's online services portal.
Power outages and downed power lines should be reported to ComEd at 1-800-334-7661.
