Pet Calendar Contest Spotlights 4-Legged Friends While Benefiting DuPage County Animal Services

The annual calendar will feature photos of pets from throughout the DuPage County area and beyond.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — As we head into the second half of 2026 DuPage County Animal Services (DCAS) is already planning for next year, with a callout for pets to be featured in their 2027 DuPage Animal Friends calendar.

The contest isn't just about putting your pet in the spotlight. Proceeds from the annual competition are used to support animal care at DCAS.

Pets of all species are welcome to enter the contest (with the help of their owners, of course).

Pet parents can submit a photo with a $25 application fee. The first 125 contest entrants get an automatic spot on the calendar's collage.

To have your pet featured on a month of the calendar, you'll have to rally support.

Entrants are encouraged to share their pet's entry page online to solicit donations that serve as votes. For every dollar donated, your pet gets one vote.

The three entries that get the most votes will be the featured pet for a month. Other featured photos will be chosen by a panel of judges and staff members from DCAS. There will be a dedicated photo for the best senior pet.

Here are the entry requirements:

To be eligible, your pet does not have to be from DCAS or even live in Illinois.
