The 60187 ZIP code in Wheaton ranks 10th on Realtor.com's 10 Hottest ZIP Codes report.
The ZIP code includes downtown Wheaton, Norhside and parts of the Emerson, Hawthorne and Lowell Schools neighborhoods.

The study found homes in the 60187 Wheaton ZIP code are on the market for just an average of 25 days. The median list price was $575,000 with a typical listing attracting three times as many online viewers as the rest of the U.S.
Homes in the neighborhoods were selling just slightly less than (0.28 percent) the asking price.
Roughly 77 percent of viewers searching for homes in the 60187 zip code are within the Chicago area. The largest out-of-market views came from the Milwaukee-Waukesha, WI area (1.4 percent), according to the study.
The list comes as Realtor believes buyers are prioritizing larger homes within commuting distance to a major job center rather than focusing on affordability.
Borrowing costs for the average 30-year fixed mortgage through the first half of 2026 are roughly 6.3 percent, down from 6.8 percent a year earlier.
Realtor.com releases a list each year with the top U.S. ZIP codes where buyer interest is the strongest.
The list is dominated by communities across the Midwest and Northeast, with some of the ZIP codes tied to the New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Detroit metro areas.
