I-PASS Identity Theft., Stolen Wallet, More: Wheaton Crime Blotter

WHEATON, IL — A wallet and other personal items were stolen and identity theft was reported, among other crimes logged on the most recent blotter from the Wheaton Police Department.

Cash Stolen from Wallet

Cash was taken from an individual's wallet in the 1700 block of Briarcliffe when the wallet was left unattended. The theft happened on Sept. 1 around 10 a.m.

AirPods Stolen at High School

Police say someone stole Apple AirPods from an unlocked gym locker at Wheaton North High School on Sept. 1 between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

PayPal Scam

A resident in the 2200 block of Scottdale Court told police they were scammed out of money by a person who claimed they were a representative from PayPal. The incident took place on Sept. 3.

Stolen Credit Card Used for Purchase

Someone used a resident's stolen credit card to buy items at the Mariano's at 625 Main Street. The incident took place on Sept. 3 at 7:45 p.m.

Cash Taken from Server's Apron

Police say someone took cash from a server's apron or book in te 1800 block of Main Street on Sept. 4 between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

I-PASS Identity Theft

A resident in the 100 block of Wheaton Center told police their information was used to open an I-PASS account with the Illinois Tollway on Sept. 5.
