WHEATON, IL — The artists who brought Wheaton's new "America 250" mural to life will make an appearance Saturday during a celebration of the new 275-foot mural.
The mural, created by Jeremy Botts and Jeffrey Swider-Peltz, depicts Wheaton's history over the past 250 years. According to city officials, the mural draws inspiration from the city's "Wheaton."
In tandem, the murals say "Wheaton Your Hometown."
Wheaton officials and members of the Fine and Cultural Arts Commission will share remarks before Swider-Peltz and Botts share the story behind the mural and answer questions.
Limited-edition posters will be available for the artists to sign for visitors. Coloring pages will be available for kids.
