The Auxiliary also awarded a Teen Spirit Award to Pauline Khim of Glendale Heights. The Teen Spirit Award is a $500 prize granted to a teen hospital volunteer who best represents the CDH ICare Values -- of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.
“Pauline was simply an excellent, dedicated volunteer who always arrived early for her shift, subbed in when others did not show, was willing to go the extra mile, respectful and kind to others and extremely service oriented,” said Volunteer Coordinator Laurel McDonnell.
The scholarship program is annual. Announcements for applications for 2012 will be in the spring on www.cdh.org.
