Applications Open For Financial Assistance For Seniors In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — Applications are now open for Wheaton's Senior Assistance Program, which offers financial aid for eligible senior residents who are 65 and older.

To be considered, applicants must be a current resident of incorporated Wheaton who has lived in the city for the past three years, consecutively. Other criteria include:

• Must live in Wheaton resident nine or more months out of the year
• Must have a household income less than or equal to $32,050
• Must not be receiving assistance from DuPage Housing Authority or via Section 8

Once the applications are reviewed, those who are eligible for approval must take part in an interview that is conducted in person in their home.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 22.
