Back To School: CUSD 200 Calendar For 2023-24

WHEATON, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Community Unit School District 200 with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2023-2024 school year.

The first day of school for District 200 students is set for Aug. 16. Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. We also suggest that you check the District 200 calendar and your child’s individual school calendar regarding conferences, open houses, meetings, exams, early dismissals, athletic and other school events.

Below is the list of dates to know for the 2023-24 school year:

Aug. 16: First Day of School (grades 1 through 12)

Aug. 17: First Day of School (kindergarten, early learning)

Sept. 4: Labor Day, no school

Sept. 22: Institute Day, no school

Oct. 9: Indigenous Peoples' Day, no school

Nov. 10: Institute Day, no school

Nov. 20 - Nov. 24: Thanksgiving Break, no school

Dec. 25 - Jan. 8: Winter Break, no school

Jan. 15: Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, no school

Feb. 19: Presidents' Day, no school

March 1: Institute Day, no school

March 25 - March 29: Spring Break, no school

May 24: Last Day of School*

May 25: High School Graduation Ceremonies

* Emergency days are listed for May 28 - May 31 and June 3 and will be scheduled as needed.
