Brett Mathieson Appointed Partner at Wheaton Accounting Firm

Local CPA named partner at Mathieson, Moyski, Austin & Co., LLP

Brett Mathieson, CPA, has been promoted to a partner at Mathieson, Moyski, Austin & Co., LLP, Accountants and Advisors. “We are delighted to announce Brett’s admission as partner,” said Mike Moyski, CPA. “Brett has made a substantial contribution to the growth of the firm and will play an important role in creating our future.”

Mathieson has been with MMA & Co. for ten years and has significant experience in individual and corporate taxation, auditing closely held businesses and local governmental units, as well as providing implementation and training for various accounting systems.

Mathieson is the president-elect of the board of directors of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, where he previously served as treasurer. He was honored as a “Top Young Professional of the Year” by the Wheaton Chamber in 2012. Mathieson also is president of the board of directors of the City of Wheaton Police Pension Fund.

A graduate of Indiana University Kelley School of Business, Mathieson has a bachelor’s degree in business with majors in accounting, finance and international studies with a minor in criminal justice. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS).
