WHEATON, IL — A car was burglarized, items were stolen from a store on Danada Square West and another resident was the victim of a call in which the scammer posed as somone from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

Car Burglarized on College Avenue

Cash was stolen from an unlocked car while it was parked in a lot in the 1000 block of College Avenue. The burglary took place sometime between 11 p.m. on Feb. 9 and 3 p.m. on Feb. 10.

Retail Theft Reported at Uncharted

A retail theft took place at the Uncharted store at 116 Danada Square West. Per the blotter, a woman came into the store on Feb. 1 and put "various items" in a shopping bag, then left the store without paying.

Resident Targeted in Phone Scam

A resident in the 200 block of Willow Avenue was the victim of an ongoing phone scam in which the caller poses as a representative from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. The victim told police the caller convinced them to buy gift cards and give the information to them. The incident took palce on Feb. 11.
