A suspect stole a car and smashed the windows of two other vehicles at the DuPage Government Building Thursday.

WHEATON, IL — A man stole a car from a parking garage and damaged two other vehicles at the DuPage County Government Building Thursday morning. The suspect shattered two windows in the garage at 509 County Farm Rd. and made off with a black 2005 Chevy Cobalt that was unlocked and had the keys under the driver's seat.
Daily Herald reports that the man smashed the windows on two separate cars on the parking garage's first and second floors. He also entered another car on the building's third floor and rifled through its contents before stealing the Cobalt.
Officials believe the man who stole the car from the government complex may have appeared in court or been in the courthouse earlier that day.
