Chicago Author Chrisinger To Discuss Ernie Pyle Book At Cantigny Park
Author David Chrisinger will discuss his book "The Soldier's Truth: Ernie Pyle and the Story of World War II" on Oct. 5.

WHEATON, IL — Author David Chrisinger will discuss his new book "The Soldier’s Truth: Ernie Pyle and the Story of World War II" on Oct. 5 at Cantigny Park.
The book follows the story of Ernie Pyle, a journalist whose front line correspondence from World War II became syndicated nationally. Pyle's battlefront reporting earned him a Pulitzer Prize in 1944.
Chrisinger, who works as the Executive Director for University of Chicago's Harris Writing Workshop, has also penned "Stories Are What Save Us: A Survivor's Guide to Writing About Trauma" and the award-winning "Public Policy Writing that Matters." His work has appeared in "The War Horse," "The New York Times" and other publications.
