UPDATE 4:00 P.M. - This situation has been resolved. Officers were responding to a subject experiencing a mental health crisis. There is no threat to the community, and the area of 22nd Street and Heritage Lakes Drive is being cleared.

ORIGINAL POST - 3:10 P.M.: There is currently a heavy police presence in the area of 22nd Street and Heritage Lakes Drive related to an isolated incident. There is no threat to the community, and Wheaton Police are providing this notice to inform the community so they are not alarmed at seeing a large police presence. We will provide an update once this area is clear.
