College of DuPage Bomb Threat Remains Under Investigation
The school was evacuated Monday evening.

Classes resumed Tuesday at the College of DuPage following a bomb threat Monday.
College officials believe the bomb threat may have been a hoax but are “erring on the side of caution” and operating Tuesday “with a heightened sense of security,” Joseph Moore, the school’s vice president for marketing and communications, told the Chicago Tribune.
College of DuPage buildings were evacuated and classes canceled Monday evening after the school received a bomb threat, according to ABC-7 News. The mass shooting at a community college in Oregon last week was taken into consideration when officials ordered the evacuation of the school Monday, according to the article.

An alert posted Monday on the college website stated that “College of DuPage has received a bomb threat and in light of recent events has chosen to cancel classes for the evening of Monday, Oct. 5.”
The bomb threat remains under investigation.
