The Student Learning section of the Vision 2022 plan commits to preparing students for their future paths by designing learning experiences that develop strong academic, social, and problem-solving skills. Last week, Ian Smith, Director of Secondary Instruction, provided the Board an update about Career Pathways activities and goals that specifically relate to the areas of Career Awareness, Career Readiness, Dual Credit College Coursework, Career Based Learning Opportunities, and Industry-Recognized Credentials. Information about the development of 16 Career Clusters for course selection and the upcoming proposal of two Dual Credit courses, Introduction to Education 1 & 2, was also shared.
