SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Sen. Michael Connelly (R-Wheaton) welcomed four area advocates for the Alzheimer’s Association to the State Capitol on March 11. The men and women were in Springfield for their annual Greater Illinois Chapter advocacy day.

Five years ago, the group was approximately a dozen in size and this year featured more than 220 citizens who traveled to the Capitol. The group was supporting a variety of pro-Alzheimer’s research legislation. Each of the men and women pictured with Senator Connelly, have or have had a spouse who is battling Alzheimer’s disease.
