How about a new law (can't believe I an saying that) that would require all new or extended school superintendent contracts be posted for public review and comment 30 days prior to being signed. And that since school board officials are elected to four year terms, with half being elected every two years, no contracts shall exceed two years in length. Wheaton-Warrenville, CUSD 200 just gave our superintendent a 5 year renewal with a 10% increase in base pay next year and guarantees 0.5% above CPI increases for the next four years. His base pay went from $195K to $215K.
