Deadline Extended for Wheaton Garbage Sticker Exchanges, Refunds
Wheaton recently switched to a new garbage service provider.

The city of Wheaton has extended the deadline to exchange or receive a refund for Advanced Disposal garbage/leaf stickers until Friday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m.
No exchanges or refunds will be processed beyond this deadline. Between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, you can bring your Advanced Disposal stickers to the Finance Department, located on the first floor of Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., according to a city of Wheaton news release.
Wheaton residents have the option of receiving a refund for Advanced Disposal stickers or exchanging them for stickers for Wheaton’s new garbage/recycling/yard waste program with Lakeshore Recycling Systems.

The grace period in which you can use Advanced Disposal stickers has ended, according to a news release. You must use Lakeshore Recycling Systems stickers for yard waste, leaves, garbage that won’t fit in your cart, electronics, and bulk items.
