Don Antlers, Hats, Bells For Reindeer Run In Wheaton

Registration for the 10th Annual Wheaton Lions Club Reindeer Run closes Nov. 30. This year's race will offer a virtual or in-person option.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton's 2021 Reindeer Run is set for Dec. 4, offering participants the choice of running the race in person or virtually. The race was held completely virtually in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but will once again offer runners the chance to don festive duds and wear antlers during the 5K, and sip hot chocolate at Adams Park post-race.

This year marks the 10th annual installment of the Reindeer Run, which is put on by the Wheaton Lions Club charities and Wheaton Park District.

“We are honored to partner again with the Wheaton Park District for the 10th Annual Reindeer Run 5K Race. It has become a family favorite! We have raised over $350,000 that goes directly to serve the needs of our greater community. We could not do this without the tremendous support of our local sponsors and many dedicated runners,” Wheaton Lions Club Reindeer Run Committee Chairman Joel P. Riley said in a news release.
