DuPage County Coronavirus Update: 438 Cases, 13 Deaths Confirmed

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — As of early Friday morning, DuPage County reports 438 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 13 deaths. County officials say the number of positive cases is "likely much higher" due to cases that are "unreported or untested."

The new numbers reflect 45 new cases since early Thursday.

The county's new system of reporting shows confirmed coronavirus cases in age groups from 0 through 9 years old to 80 and older.

According to the county's breakdown, the majority of cases have affected those between the ages of 40 and 70, but all age ranges had confirmed cases. Here is the breakdown as of Thursday morning.

  • 0-9 years old: 1
  • 10-19 years old: 4
  • 20-29 years old: 50
  • 30-39 years old: 47
  • 40-49 years old: 68
  • 50-59 years old: 65
  • 60-69 years old: 72
  • 70-79 years old: 42
  • 80 years old and older: 44

DuPage County reported its first confirmed case of coronavirus in mid-March.
