DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — The DuPage County Courthouse is putting measures in place to proactively prevent the spread of coronavirus. Though there have been no confirmed cases in the county at press time, the courthouse has been directed to put weddings, civil unions, school tours on hold as the threat of coronavirus reaches a global pandemic, according to Daily Herald.

The decision, which impacts weddings and civil unions for anyone who gets a license "on or after Tuesday," came via memo from Chief Judge Daniel Guerin and will be in effect at least until the end of March, when officials will reassess the issue.

The courthouse's preventive measures also include moves to limit jury members and the amount of person-to-person contact for "probation and court services."
