DuPage, Kane Co. Sheriffs Join Forces To Fight Drugs, Sex Traffic
"It's all about public safety, not politics," Republican Mendrick said of his partnership with Democrat Hain.

WHEATON, IL --- DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick has joined forces with Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain in a joint effort to combat sex trafficking and drug crimes throughout the two neighboring counties. Though plans are in their early stages, the bond aims to combine the resources of both DuPage and Kane Counties to make controlling the flow of narcotics and the proliferation of sex trafficking more efficient.
In a press release, Mendrick said he and Hain plan to "utilize evolving investigative and apprehension tactics, along with tried and true investigative tools" in effort to "aggressively target" sexual predators, especially those who prey on victims via the internet, and drug traffickers.
Mendrick, a Republican, and Hain, a Democrat, were both elected in November to serve their first terms as sheriff of their respective counties. Mendrick said in the press release that "It's all about public safety, not politics" and that he's confident working in close collaboration with Hain will "make all of our citizens safer."
