Emergency Track Repairs to Close Railroad Crossing in Wheaton

Union Pacific has notified the City that it is planning to close the railroad crossing at President Street to vehicle traffic for emergency track repairs Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 through Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015.

This crossing is adjacent to the College Avenue Metra station.

The posted detour route for northbound President Street traffic is:

• Right on Crescent Street
• Left on Hill Avenue to cross the railroad tracks
• Left on College Avenue
• Right on President Street

The posted detour route for southbound President Street traffic is:

• Left on College Avenue
• Right on Hill Avenue to cross the railroad tracks
• Right on Crescent Street
• Left on President Street
