Event To Honor Vietnam Veterans With Ceremony, Live Music In Wheaton

"Vietnam: A Warrior Welcome" will be held June 27 at DuPage Memorial VFW Post 2164 in Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL — A special dedication will honor Vietnam veterans in Wheaton on June 27. “Vietnam: A Warrior Welcome” will feature a guest speaker, live music and a ceremony paying tribute to veterans.

The event will kick off at 10 a.m. at DuPage Memorial VFW Post 2164, ON731 Papworth, Wheaton. All veterans and their spouses are welcome to attend “Vietnam: A Warrior Welcome," a news release said.

A presentation will be given by Wayne Fischer, entitled “Vulnerability and Resistance from One Marine’s Perspective: My 12 Months and 20 Days in Vietnam, 1967-1968.”

Residential Hospice in Northern Illinois is partnering with We Honor Veterans to present the event.
