Father, Daughter Share Love Of Sports

Lisa Kimball pays tribute to her dad, Curt Kimball of Wheaton.

WHEATON, IL — For Father's Day, Patch is letting readers honor their dads with photos and tributes. The following message is to Curt Kimball of Wheaton from his daughter, Lisa Kimball.

To my Dad:
Thank you for teaching me the importance of being a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan even when we have to suffer through quite a few losing seasons. Thank you for teaching me how to ride my bike even though I was beyond stubborn and it took me WAY too long to learn (sorry again). Thank you for always making sure my friends and I were fed and sometimes over fed when I had sleepovers at our house. Thank you for your million trips to the grocery store to make sure we always had food on the table. Thank you for teaching me how to drive (I know that was terrifying). Thank you for teaching me to never give up. Thank you for allowing me to be myself and for always believing in me. Thank you for supporting me when I went away to college and then when I moved across the country for a job (I know you still wish I was in Illinois). Thank you for being the absolute best Dad that I could ever have! I’m sad I can’t be with you to celebrate this Father’s Day, but I will make it up to you! Love you Dad!
