Flooding Closes Multiple Roads In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL --- UPDATE: As of 1:30 p.m. the water had receded and South Main St. and College Ave. were open.

Heavy rains and flooding closed multiple roads throughout Wheaton Monday afternoon. As of 12 p.m., the following roads were closed to traffic.

• South Main St. between Rte. 38 and E. Illinois
• South Main St. at Park Ave.
• College Ave. partially closed at Stoddard Ave.

City officials wrote that they would update motorists in the event that more closures come through as rainfall continues.
