Get a Sneak Peak of Downtown Improvements at Wednesday Meeting

WHEATON, IL - The city of Wheaton is looking for residents’ feedback on changes proposed for downtown Wheaton.

The city will host a public meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., to get residents’ input on downtown streetscape improvements, according a city of Wheaton press release.

The city has contracted with Design Workshop, a landscape architecture firm, to assist with the first phase of implementing elements of the downtown strategic plan, according to the news release. This plan will focus on streetscape improvements, gathering areas, signage and other changes that are meant to enhance downtown Wheaton.

Design Workshop will present options and solicit input to help guide the final design plans during the March 2 meeting. If you are unable to attend, there will be an opportunity for residents to share their feedback online. More information will be posted on the city’s website after the meeting.
