Glen Ellyn District 41 Board Wants More Info on Full-Day Kindergarten
Do you think District 41 schools would benefit from full-day kindergarten?

The Glen Ellyn School District 41 Board of Education has delayed a vote on whether to offer full-day kindergarten as board members on Monday requested four major items be addressed before moving forward, according to Suburban Life Publications.
Suburban Life Publications reports the four major items include:
- A determination on whether the community wants a full-day kindergarten option. The district is planning to send out a survey to the community to gauge interest in the option.
- The board requested a better understanding of the operational costs associated with all-day kindergarten.
- Board members wanted more information on the amount of space needed to move forward with all-day kindergarten.
- The last item the school board wanted clarification on was whether all students would benefit from a full-day kindergarten option or whether just at-risk students would benefit.
The school board is expected to address the full-day kindergarten option in November once more information has been collected, Suburban Life Publications reports.
