Glendale Heights Village President Faces Disorderly Conduct Charges
Police say Chodri Ma Khokhar, 66, filed false police reports.

GLENDAGE HEIGHTS, IL — The village president of Glendale Heights has been charged with disorderly conduct after prosecutors say he filed two false police reports.
Chodri Ma Khokhar, 66, is accused of falsely claiming on two occasions that he had been assaulted. Police say Khokhar filed the first report April 26 and the second May 12 “knowing at the time of the transmission that there was no reasonable grounds for believing that the offense had been committed," a news release said.
"I thank the Grand Jury for their time and dedication to the rule of law,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said.

Khokhar turned himself in to police Thursday and was later released from custody. He is set to appear in court on Sept. 11.
