The historical museum is also seeking photographs, signs and other items from recent protests and the pandemic.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — The DuPage County Historical Museum is asking residents to share stories, photographs and other items related to the Black Lives Matter Movement and the coronavirus pandemic. The items and stories will be used to chronicle the history of 2020.

According to the historical museum, some items that residents may donate include:

  • Hand-written journal entries from the stay-at-home order
  • Protest signs
  • Videos of socially distant graduation parades
  • Photographs of closed restaurants and stores
  • Hand-sewn masks
  • Social media posts about the pandemic, protests or counter-protests

As part of the Voices of DuPage initiative, DuPage County Historical Museum will also record oral interviews with residents about their experiences related to the Black Lives Matter movement and the pandemic.
