Hit-And-Run Driver Still Sought In Fatal January Crash In Wheaton
Police and family are pleading with residents for help finding the driver involved in the hit-and-run crash that killed Paige Donahue.
WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are asking for the public's help in their ongoing investigation into a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Paige Donahue, 31, in early January.
Donahue was hit by a car around 8 p.m. on Jan. 2 as she walked near Crest Street and Roosevelt Road. After receiving multiple emergency calls, police arrived at the scene and rushed Donahue to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
Police say the driver involved did not stop the vehicle to help Donahue and did not call 911.

"My soul has been ripped from the inside," Donahue's mom said in an interview with City of Wheaton TV. "There's a void in our family."
Donahue's mom pleaded for residents to "make her tragedy come with positivity."

She continued, "I think the right person will come forward."
