DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — Traditional Memorial Day celebrations and parades throughout DuPage County have been canceled as a result of the new coronavirus shutdown. DuPage County residents can still do their part to honor their own fallen heroes by creating a post on a new interactive website that was recently launched by DuPage County.

Residents can visit the interactive Memorial Day website to submit their own Honor Post. The post can include photos and words of dedication about what makes the person you are honoring special.

DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin said in a news release, "While we may not be able to gather in person this year, we are united in our desire to honor DuPage men and women who gave their lives while serving as members of the U.S. Armed Forces."
