Is Your Student Getting Ready for College?

Planning for college can be stressful, but it doesn't have to be.

Prairie Path Books has teamed up with Pam Valle, founder of Valle Education Consultants, for an enlightening discussion that will not only show you ways to pay for your teen's higher education, but also will explore finding the right college for his or her unique interests and circumstances.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Prairie Path Books, which is comfortably housed inside Toms-Price Home Furnishings, 303 Front St., Wheaton. Hors d'oeurves and beverages will be served, and Prairie Path Books and Pam Valle will offer their recommended books for purchase.

Pam has more than 20 years of consulting and coaching experience, and has worked with hundreds of families to find the perfect college match for students. 

Pam's expertise is invaluable, considering the average transfer rate for college students about 33 percent, resulting in greater expense for families and loss of precious time for the student. With Pam's insight, students she advises average only a 3 percent transfer rate. Students also report an 86 percent college acceptance rate after working with Pam.
