Join a Book Discussion!

If your New Year's resolution is to read more, let us help you out! Wheaton Public Library has three book discussion groups, so any reader is sure to find one that's the right fit. Visit our Book Discussions page for upcoming titles for all three groups.

NEW! Fantasy and Science Fiction Book Group
Third Tuesday at 7pm
Please join us in our inaugural meeting to discuss Anansi Boys, a book Publishers Weekly calls a “brilliant mingling of the mundane and the fantastic.” Please register online and stop by the Reference Desk to pick up a book. For more information, email nancy@wheatonlibrary.org or call 630-868-7520.

Contemporary Books Discussion Group
First Thursday at 7pm, Second Tuesday and Wednesday at 10am
Discuss the best in contemporary fiction each month. In January, the group is reading The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb, by Melanie Benjamin.

Great Books Discussion Group
Second Wednesday at 7:30pm
The Great Books method of Shared Inquiry discussion encourages a personal approach to literature. Participants engage in a search for the author's meaning. There are no right or wrong answers and no examinations. The sharing of individual interpretations results in a greater understanding for all. View the Great Books schedule.
