Kaczmarek Wins Race For DuPage County Clerk
County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek was elected to serve another term in Tuesday's general election.
DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek was set to be elected to another term after polls closed Tuesday night.
Kaczmarek, who was elected in 2018, had been challenged by Evelyn Sanguinetti, who formerly served as lieutenant governor of Illinois
As of Wednesday morning, unofficial vote totals from DuPage County were as follows for the County Clerk race, with more than 100 percent of Election Day ballots tallied:

Jean Kaczmarek (D): 170,363
Evelyn Sanguinetti (R): 153,061

Ahead of the election, Kaczmarek was involved in several changes that impacted voters in DuPage County. Among these were the acquisition of new voting equipment that uses paper ballots, an increase in early voting locations and DuPage County's emergence as the first county in Illinois to offer a "Vote Anywhere" option.
