La Plaza Taqueria Now Open In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — La Plaza Taqueria has been open at Town Square Wheaton for just over a month.

The family-oriented Mexican restaurant focuses on "high-quality ingredients and traditional flavors with a modern touch," owner Isaac Sepulveda told Patch earlier this year.

The menu features crispy fish tacos, Yucatan pulled pork tacos, carne asada, al pastor and more. La Plaza Taqueria also serves fresh seafood, ceviches and Mexican breakfast dishes that are available all day.

The alcohol menu includes beer, wine, a curated selection of tequila palomas and micheladas. Specialty cocktails include the Midnight Margarita, which blends allspice with tequila and chocolate bitters, and the Margarita en Nogada, infused with pomegranate, fig and Ancho Reyes Verde.

La Plaza Taqueria is located at 421 Town Square Wheaton in the space that was once home to Nothing Bundt Cake. Their hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
