A visitation will be held for Lee Otto on Saturday, May 7, in Brookfield, WI.

Lee Otto died Sunday, Apr. 24 at his home in Wheaton. He was 86.
He was born in Pierce, NE on August 13, 1924. He was a veteran of World War Two, stationed in Italy, France, Germany, Corsica and North Africa.
Following the war, he earned a bachelors degree from Wayne State Teachers College, Wayne, NE, and an MA from the University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY. He taught industrial arts in Madison, NE, for five years and coached football, basketball, and track. He then taught and coached for two years at Cleveland Lutheran High School, Cleveland, OH.

In 1955, he established the industrial arts department at Milwaukee Lutheran High School, Milwaukee, WI, and continued his career there until his retirement in 1988. During those years, he and his wife, Barbara, were active members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Brookfield, WI. In 1988, the couple retired to the home that he built in Lake Tomahawk, WI, in his beloved north woods. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Arbor Vitae, WI, until his death.
Otto is survived by his five children and their spouses, Emalee Stellwagen, Steven (Kanella) Otto, Jeanne (Steven) Urban, William (Carol) Otto, and Anne (Alan) Dutcher; 17 grandchildren and spouses; and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Meta (Magdanz) Otto; his wife of 51 years, Barbara (nee Herbolsheimer); and a son-in-law, Joel Stellwagen.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of an interment service to be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in the cemetery chapel at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005.
Later a memorial service will also be held on Friday, May 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 10868 Old 51 N, Arbor Vitae, WI 54568. The family will be receiving guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at church.
