Main Street Temporarily Closed in Downtown Wheaton
Traffic will be rerouted from March 29 through April 7 to accommodate railway construction downtown.

WHEATON, IL — Main Street will be closed in downtown Wheaton to accommodate construction of a railway crossing for the Union Pacific Railroad, according to the a statement from Wheaton officials. The closure begins on Wednesday, March 29 at a.m., and is set to end Friday, April 7 at 5 p.m. Northbound and southbound traffic will be rerouted and detour signs will be posted to help the flow of traffic.
Northbound Main Street traffic will turn
- East on Liberty Drive
- North on Cross Street
- West on Wesley Street
- North on Main Street
Southbound Main Street traffic will turn
