Marian Park Holiday Party

A holiday party was put on for the residents of Marian Park by DuCAP and the Kiwanis Club of Wheaton

On December 16th, DuCAP and the Kiwanis Club of Wheaton joined together to put on a holiday celebration for the residents of Marian Park. As the volunteers checked in and directed them to the festivities, a magic show put on by Measner Magic Productions drew the awe of the crowd, while representatives from the Wheaton Public Library read stories to the kids to great delight. A delicious meal provided by the Kiwanis Club and served up by an assortment of community volunteers was enjoyed by all, but the big moment was soon to come... the arrival of Old Saint Nick himself- Santa Claus arrived with gifts for all of the girls and boys, with a little help from Toys for Tots. Dolls and cars and skateboards and more brought many a smile to the faces of the Marian Park children and their families as the night drew to a close.

Many thanks to Marian Park, Rita Kennedy and Cheryl Valdez of Franciscan Ministries, Kiwanis Club of Wheaton, the Wheaton North and Wheaton South Key Clubs, First Nations Bank, the Marian Park NAC, Toys for Tots, Measner Magic Productions, Wheaton Public Library, and all of the volunteers or helping put on such a wonderful event. Stay tuned for more community events to come.
