The partnership of Cantigny Park, the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau, Mexican Cultural Center DuPage and the City of West Chicago are hosting "Alebrijes: Creatures of a Dream World” a five-month outdoor art exhibit featuring 48 whimsical creature alebrijes sculptures (18 large “creatures” /30 smaller “spirit animals”) at Cantigny Park, 1S151 Winfield Rd. in Wheaton.

The artists were recruited by the Mexican Cultural Center DuPage to create the alebrijes for the exhibit. They are now working together on a new giant octopus alebrijes, but they need help to finish this last work. On their behalf, Mexican Cultural Center DuPage is seeking volunteers to help paper mâché. Time slots are available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24. To sign up for a slot, click here. For more information about the exhibit, visit Cantigny.org.
