More Than 20 Vendors To Serve Up Eats At 5th West Chicago Food Fest

WEST CHICAGO, IL — Nearly two dozen vendors will tempt tastebuds with an assortment of pizza, popcorn, poutine and other mouthwatering eats for the West Chicago Food Festival on Aug. 26.

This year marks the fifth time West Chicago has hosted its food festival.

Here's a roundup of the vendors from in and around West Chicago that you can expect to see at the festival:

• D's Treats and Ice Cream

• Grumpy Gaucho

• Kurtos R Us, LLC
• Ma Maw's Kitchen
• Mini Donuts
• Popcorn Time
• Pot Pots Poutine
• Poupee Puf
• Sausage Fest
• Taco Shop
• The Jerk Store
• Tiki Terrace LLC
• Your Sister's Tomato
• Yummy Food Time

Visitors who are 21 and older can slake their thirst in the festival's beer and beverage tent, which is presented by Tapville Social.

During the event, local bands will play live music to keep the mood upbeat. The schedule is as follows:

4 p.m.: Soul Sacrifice

5:30 p.m.: Generation

7 p.m.: Serendipity

There will also be entertainment that's geared toward children, including a balloon artist, a face painter and a stilt walker who will make their way through the crowd.

"I love seeing the community come out and enjoy some great food and music on a beautiful summer evening. The variety of food vendors really allows something for all to enjoy," Special Events Coordinator Nicolette Stefan told Patch.

There's no cost to attend the West Chicago Food Fest, but there is a charge for food and drink purchases.
