More Than 50 Types Of Wine, Live Music Set For Cosley Zoo Uncorked

WHEATON, IL — Cosley Zoo's 2023 Uncorked event is slated for Sept. 21 and will give visitors a chance to sample from a selection of more than 50 wines on the zoo's picturesque grounds.

Each tasting station will draw inspiration from a different animal as live music helps keep the atmosphere fun. For attendees who have a sweet tooth, dessert wines will also be available.

After sampling the wines, participants can place an order with Famous Liquors, who will have representatives onsite and have pledged to donate 10 percent of the evening's wine sales back to the zoo. Ticket proceeds also go to helping benefit different initiatives at Cosley Zoo.

Uncorked has been an annual highlight in Wheaton since 2011.

"As one of the best events of the year, the Cosley Uncorked wine event mixes wine with a little bit of wild for a unique wine-tasting experience," Wheaton Park District Director of Marketing Margie Wilhelmi told Patch. "It's a chance for people to get an after-hours view of the zoo and enjoy some delicious food and a variety of wines."
