Special Event To Celebrate Start Of Summer In Downtown Wheaton

The Murals, Mocktails and Music event will be held June 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

WHEATON, IL — Downtown Wheaton will ring in summer with a special event featuring live art, music and craft mocktails. Set for June 20, Murals, Mocktails and Music will feature an opportunity to meet Emmy Star Brown and watch the artist as they create a new mural at 123 Wesley St.

The mixed-media mural will be made using paint markers from Uni Brands and POSCA U.S., headquartered in Wheaton.

Participating businesses will serve artisanal mocktails throughout the event. The Leroy Winn Power Trio will post up on Hale Street to perform live music.

A silent disco will follow at Affordable Kitchens.

“‘Murals, Mocktails, & Music’ is all about celebrating creativity and community in Downtown Wheaton,” Downtown Wheaton Association Executive Director Allison Orr said in a statement. “From public art and live music to unique mocktail tastings throughout downtown, this event offers a fun and welcoming way for people of all ages to experience the district.”
