Naperville Running Company is Coming to Wheaton
The popular running store will be opening at the former train depot in Wheaton and will be keeping its "Naperville Running Company" name.

WHEATON, IL - The Naperville Running Company is planning to open its third location this fall in Wheaton as store owners hope to serve a loyal base of customers in the area that had been traveling to Naperville to get their running needs met, the Daily Herald reports.
The new Naperville Running Company store will be located in the former train depot 102-134 W. Front Street, which is just north of the railroad tracks and Illinois Prairie Path and in between Main and Hale streets, according to the article.
Kris Hartner said he thought about changing the store’s name to match its new location, but ultimately decided to stick with the Naperville Running Company brand and name for the Wheaton store. He decided to move forward with opening the store after a Glen Ellyn running store and a Sports Authority in Wheaton closed, according to the newspaper.

“We know we have a nice customer base up there,” Hartner told the Daily Herald. “The businesses that have been up there, they’ve struggled a little bit, but I think with our reach and our staff and the brands we partner with, we could do really, really well.”
The Naperville Running Company currently includes a staff of 28 runners with two stores in Naperville at 34 W. Jefferson Street and 3416 S Route 59, Suite 116, in Naperville. The running store carries running shoes, clothing and equipment but also offers guidance to runners looking to select a new shoe and running workshops, clinics and events.
