New Ice Cream Shop Opens in Downtown Wheaton

Kimmer's Ice Cream will be offering grand opening deals this week.

Kimberly Elam, owner of Kimmer’s Ice Cream in St. Charles, has opened a second store location Friday in Wheaton.

Kimmer’s has transformed the former Tate’s Ice Cream location at 109 E. Front Street in downtown Wheaton into Kimmer’s of Wheaton.

“I am so pleased to be able to bring Kimmer’s to Wheaton,” Elam said. “As a child I spent many days there visiting my grandma and I remember Tate’s fondly. The people of Wheaton deserve an ice cream shop in their downtown location and I’m glad it can be Kimmer’s.”
