Operation Dropbox 'One Way To Give Back' To Veterans: DuPage County Health Department

DuPage County will use the donations made to Operation Dropbox spots to help aid the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) is now part of Operation Dropbox, an ongoing donation drive to help support local veterans.

Founded in 2018 in McHenry County, Operation Dropbox collects household goods, hygiene products and other items via popup locations throughout each participating county. The collected items are then donated to causes that support veterans.

DCHD's efforts this year will support the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

“Operation Dropbox is a powerful way for us to support the veterans who live in our community,” DCHD Executive Director Adam Forker said in a statement. “We are proud to partner with local organizations to collect items that make a real difference in veterans’ daily lives. These men and women have given so much for our country, and this is one way we can give back.”

The health department is looking for organizations and businesses to serve as sites for Operation Dropbox. DCHD will provide the necessary supplies.
