The Packey Webb building, which has called Wheaton home for 54 years, has been demolished as the Webbs and a developer plan to open a new self-storage facility for high-end luxury classic cars in its place, the Daily Herald reports.

Patrick "Packey" Webb built the facility at 1830 E. Roosevelt Road in Wheaton in 1962 and, for years, the family sold new cars at the Ford dealership, according to the article. Packey died in 1992, leaving the business to his sons. And twelve years ago, the Webb brothers moved the dealership to Downers Grove but kept the Wheaton location open for used car sales and express service.
