Part Of Dorchester Avenue To Close For Sewer Work
Motorists can expect delays along Dorchester Avenue as crews work to install a sewer main starting Oct. 19.

WHEATON, IL — Road closures will take effect along parts of Dorchester Avenue in Wheaton as of Oct. 19 as crews begin installing a sewer main beneath the creek nearby.
Dorchester will be closed to traffic between Childs Street and Lakeside Drive. Motorists will be made aware of detours via signs that will be posted near the closed area.
The work on Dorchester Avenue is part of the Northside Interceptor Sewer Replacement Project, which the Wheaton Sanitary District began in May 2021. This phase of the project's aim is to rebuild, replace and upgrade pipes along the sewer system north of Roosevelt Road.
